Legends Join DisposeRx In Fight Against Opioid Abuse

FRISCO, TX, (Feb. 20, 2023) – The Texas Legends have announced a new partnership with DisposeRx, Inc., that allows the team to join the company in the fight against opioid abuse.

On March 6th, as the Legends take on the Salt Lake City Stars, the team will suit up in custom jerseys themed out with the DisposeRx logo.  The night will feature a number of PSAs and in-arena activations to educate fans on the opioid epidemic and how they can best get involved in the fight against it.  DisposeRx is a North Carolina-based company dedicated to decreasing the misuse of leftover prescription medications through their patented medication disposal packets and education programming.

“DisposeRx is in this fight, on the front lines every single day. … … When we were discussing a partnership and heard their passion, we knew it was a fit.  We look forward to using our platform to help showcase their efforts and bring education and outreach to the Legends Family.”

Malcolm Farmer,
Legends President

DisposeRx is a new partner of the Legends and will kick off the multi-year partnership with the celebratory jersey night.  The team at DisposeRx will also have access to the Legends’ networking events year-round and will have premium hospitality at all home games.

“The Legends Team learned about our at-home medication disposal packets during the launch of our Texas Friday Night Lights Against Opioids campaign in October 2022. … … We are thrilled to be able to partner with the Legends to continue and expand our education efforts to promote medication safety and opioid misuse prevention.”

William Simpson,
DisposeRx President and CEO
