Information for
Chain Pharmacies
More than 60% of chain pharmacies across the country provide DisposeRx packets to their patients—typically those receiving opioid prescriptions or controlled substances. The pharmacies have invested in their medication disposal programs, which are a key part of their broad Opioid Stewardship initiatives.
DisposeRx supports the pharmacies’ efforts by customizing staff training for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, as well as providing patient education materials—from fliers to point of service marketing materials.
Independent Pharmacies
Medication safety and disposal programs are beginning to grow in popularity within independent/community pharmacies, especially as pharmacy reimbursement programs begin to take hold. Learn more about local and state pharmacy reimbursement programs in Iowa and Missouri.
