Drug Prevention and Disposal Night to be hosted in Central Texas, the heart of DisposeRx
FRISCO, TX – DisposeRx announced it will be the presenting mission sponsor of the Texas Legends game versus the Salt Lake City (Utah) Stars on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 7:00PM C.T. at Comerica Arena in Frisco.
“We are happy to do our part in protecting Texas families, as the heart of DisposeRx is in Texas, with our product manufacturing based in Carrollton and distribution in Grapevine.”
William Simpson,
DisposeRx President and CEO
DisposeRx proudly works with over 20 community outreach partners across the state, including the University of Texas, Texas High School Coaches Association, and with Safe Kids North Texas – Fort Worth Cook Children’s Hospital.
DisposeRx also recently piloted its first Friday Night Lights Against Opioids program in Texas. The Friday Night Lights Against Opioids Program was launched in Texas in October 2022. In partnership with the Texas Attorney General’s Office and the Texas High School Coaches Association, DisposeRx implemented the Friday Night Lights Against Opioids program to educate high school athletes and community members about the dangers of both fentanyl and the misuse of prescription medication. The program was successfully piloted at high school football programs in over 10 Texas media markets between October 27 and November 5 including McKinney, TX, where Legends Team President Malcolm Foster heard the program’s message and received DisposeRx packets while leaving the game.
The game will include drug disposal PSAs from Football Hall of Famer Randy White, Basketball legend Spud Webb, and Basketball Hall of Famer Del Harris and the distribution of free at-home DisposeRx drug disposal kits to fans.
“I am proud to partner with the DisposeRx team on their efforts to protect our Texas families. The opioid epidemic is personal to me after losing my son-in-law who took one bad pill. It’s important that we keep working to educate our younger populations to understand if you aren’t prescribed it, don’t take it and if you don’t use the prescription, dispose of it properly.”
Randy White,
Dallas Cowboys legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer
White and members of the DisposeRx team will appear in person at the Legends game at Comerica Arena on March 6th.
