Statements on COVID-19

March 17, 2020 Statement

The COVID-19 pandemic is making its way throughout our country, challenging us in ways that we could not have imagined even a few weeks ago.

But in times of crisis, people and organizations demonstrate remarkable strength, compassion and leadership.

At DisposeRx, we have watched our small and large retail pharmacy partners rally to expand their capabilities to meet the growing needs of their customers, our health plan partners reach out to their members to provide critical patient safety education, our health system and provider partners put their own lives on the line to provide medical care for their patients, and our community outreach partners respond to the evolving needs in their communities.

Quite simply, we are in awe of our partners’ commitment in battling this public health emergency. We know these are unprecedented times, we have more difficult days ahead, and we are here to support them in any way we can.

March 12, 2020 Statement

While the opioid public health crisis continues to stress our communities and states, the Coronavirus/COVID-19 is currently top of mind for most as it spreads throughout the country and the world. The outbreak is forcing each of us to assess our readiness--personally and professionally, adding to our current burdens and anxieties. We want to briefly communicate to you what we are doing to mitigate issues that might result from the virus:

1) Supply Chain: We proactively purchased a considerable amount of raw material needed to manufacture our DisposeRx packets. Further, we have engaged in discussions with our suppliers and critical vendors to ensure that they are putting together mitigation plans in advance.

2) Manufacturing: We recently contracted with an additional manufacturer to ensure continuity and consistency of service.

3) Operations: We are taking every precaution to keep our employees safe and free from illness, including limiting travel. However, we have back up for each of our critical roles to prevent disruption.

4) Deliveries/Customer Service: We have technology and other services in place to allow us to continue our operations should we be forced into isolation for some period of time. We are prepared to respond to the challenges should they arise, and we promise to communicate with you as needed. The entire DisposeRx family is wishing you all well as we face this unprecedented challenge.
